ALBION Futsal

Futsal isn't indoor soccer. It's soccer with nowhere to hide.

Smaller court. Heavier ball. No walls to bail you out. The ball never dies.

Get it, get pressured, solve it. Now. Again. Again.

Do that a few hundred times a night, every Friday, October through May, and the outdoor game starts to feel slow.

That environment forces close control, a precise first touch, and finishing in tight space. It also sharpens what players see: constant repositioning to find and exploit space builds anticipation and pattern recognition that transfer straight back to the full field.

In South America and Europe, futsal is a standard part of development for U12 and below. ALBION SC Dallas treats it the same way.

What Players Gain

  • Significantly more touches per session than any outdoor format
  • A first touch that holds up under pressure
  • Faster decisions in tight space
  • Confidence to take defenders on 1v1
  • Better spatial awareness and anticipation
  • Coaching built on a written futsal curriculum, not pickup games

The Pathway

DEVELOPMENT (U7 to U11): One session per week, built into the ALBION development program. League play recommended.

ADVANCEMENT (U12 to U14): One session per week during the season, optional. Regional tournament opportunities in the winter, national competition in the summer.

PLACEMENT (U15 to U19): Winter and summer competition for players who want to keep sharpening the technical side in the off-season.

Curriculum

Every session follows the ALBION futsal curriculum, built on four pillars: possession, defending, breaking pressure, and attacking transition. The technical to tactical balance shifts as players move up.

Benjamin (U7 to U9): 80% technical, 20% tactical. Passing lines and mobility, matchup defending and 1v1, finding the pivot, playing out of pressure in 3v1.

Alevin (U10 to U11): 60% technical, 40% tactical. Diagonal and parallel runs, strong side and weak side defending with cover, finding the pivot and going, 2v1 transition.

Infantil (U12 to U13): 50% technical, 50% tactical. Approach and clean movements, zonal defending with cover, escaping the 3-1 press, 3v1 into 3v2 on the wings.

Cadet (U14 to U15): 40% technical, 60% tactical. Creating overloads, double teaming, escaping the 4-0, deep pivot play in 3v1 and 3v2.
